Whether you are a novice or experienced cyclist, it would be hard to find a more beautiful part of Ireland to explore. Don't worry about bringing your own bikes - we have bikes available for hire for your enjoyment. If you do decide to bring you own, we can offer secure bicycle storage.

Wherever you choose to go, you will enjoy a great variey of routes and breathtaking views along the way. Explore Mulranny and the surrounding area along the Great Western Greenway - an adventure you will always remember or head to Achill Island with its spectacular rugged beauty.

The Great Western Greenway which runs along by the hotel is a wonderful facility for cyclists. The trail mainly follows the track of the famous Newport / Mulranny railway which closed in 1937. The Greenway is the longest off-road walking and cycling trail in Ireland passing through some of the most stunning scenery in the West of Ireland.

The Greenway is the first such project in this country and the objective is to make it equivalent or superior to similar European infrastructure. The facility will be multifunctional serving tourist, local recreational, school and work travel needs. It is fast becoming a "must do" route for international touring cyclists along with other European cycling destinations.
Take a packed lunch and head off cycling as we have bikes available at the hotel for a day of 1/2 day use.
