Devised by Mulranny Park Hotel – the only hotel located on the Greenway - to highlight the great food producers near to and along the route of the Great Western Greenway, the Gourmet Greenway has received a string of plaudits since its launch a year ago. The Taoiseach praised its efforts to “provide a boost to local businesses”. Bridgestone Guide publisher John McKenna described it as “inspired, imaginative and authentic”, the Examiner dubbed it “an innovative tourism-focused collaboration” and the Irish Times said the initiative “brings together the Greenway walking and cycling trail and the stunning food that’s produced along or near its scenic route”.
This food trail has been devised by the Mulranny Park Hotel, in association with Mayo food producers, to showcase the wonderful aritisan food around Mulranny, Newport, Westport and Achill Island.
