The Great Western Greenway which runs by the hotel is a wonderful facility for walkers and cyclists alike. We are the only hotel located on the Great Western Greenway in the most scenic section of the route. The trail mainly follows the track of the famous Newport / Mulranny railway which closed in 1937. The Greenway is the longest off-road walking and cycling trail in Ireland passing through some of the most stunning scenery in the West of Ireland. Take a packed lunch and head off walking at your own pace or hire a bike through Clew Bay Bike Hire who have a rental outlet at the hotel.
Mulranny has been listed as one of the top 10 walking destinations in Ireland by the prestigious McKenna Guides 2013. We have put together great offers for walking groups including your packed lunch. More information here..
