Follow the road towards Achill

From Mulranny, the route moves towards the Currane Peninsula, where country lanes meet coastal views. The road continues towards Dumhach Bheag and the Spanish Armada Viewpoint, with open water, sheep-dotted fields and Corraun Hill shaping the horizon. Crossing towards Achill, the landscape changes again. The island brings a stronger Atlantic edge, with dramatic roads, high viewpoints and stretches of coastline that feel both rugged and refined.

The Atlantic Drive is not a route to rush. It is a day for small stops and clear views, for weather that changes the mood of the landscape, for roads that ask you to slow down and look again.
